Hey everyone! I hope you all had a pleasant holiday season! I kept wanting to post this and a few other things but I was lucky enough to be able to travel, see some family, get out of town and avoid the computer for a few weeks Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view. But now I’m back in Brooklyn and ready to blog!
First up, I released free iOS versions of my apps Mermaid Fashion Show, Princess Fashion Show and Ballet Fashion Show– so if you’ve been wanting to try them out for free, now is your chance! Free Fairy Fashion Show and free Android versions are on the upcoming releases list too.

Clik here to view.I also had the pleasure of working with the amazingly talented watercolor illustrator Wendy Edelson on a Christmas app- Find the Differences: Christmas Edition. It was a big hit over the holidays with almost 50,000 downloads- we were thrilled so many people gave it a try.

Clik here to view. Before releasing the Christmas Edition, I created a Find the Differences: Fine Art Edition to smooth out all the mechanics before working with a living artist- Van Gogh and old Claude Monet wouldn’t mind if I had to iron out a bug or two in their app Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view. I am very happy to report this app to be a success too, and it was a great time going through beautiful old paintings to source the art. Yes I finally used my art history class lessons!!! I had a great time, maybe look out for another one someday Image may be NSFW.

I’ve got some more surprises on the horizon but I can’t reveal everything just yet. But I’ve got one really fun and clever app close to release, and another one that will be just adorable as soon as I get to painting it!
In the meantime, I wanted to share this Corona Geek webcast! Charles McKeever is the hard-working host of the show, and I was thrilled to be invited on to talk about my work. It was a more informal talk than my lectures, with more questions and back and forth, so we hit on a lot of good topics and great information. I talked a lot about my art- and app-making process (and advise against some parts of it), being on all the app stores, how to streamline your workflow to get apps out the door and best of all we were all wearing silly hats.
Last but not least, I was invited to be part of a wild presentation on game development where everyone gives 20 minute lectures with 20 slides each, one slide a minute, called a Pecha Kucha Lecture. So it should be pretty fast-paced and cool! My presentation is “Ship that App: Crossing the Finish Line” and it’ll be about getting that app out the door once and for all. It’s part of the Game Code Lightning Talks, presented by IGDA NYC & NYU Game Center on Thursday, January 23rd, 7-9pm in DUMBO, NYC. You can grab a free ticket here: http://www.eventbrite.com/e/game-code-lightning-talks-presented-by-igda-nyc-nyu-game-center-tickets-9895796594– hope to see you there!
Thanks for reading- as always I appreciate all the support from each and every one of you reading this Image may be NSFW.
